MindSource specializes in placing technology professionals with companies in the Silicon Valley Region and beyond. We have an immediate need for a Sr. Java/J2EE Server Side Developer with our client in San Jose, CA. This is a Contract opportunity for 6-8 months with a possible extension.

The successful candidate will be part of a small, high performance team working on cutting edge technologies and video application space. Candidate must have 10+ years of industry experience in the relevant skills sets.

Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for working with team in enhancing the digital signage product portfolio, improving quality, participate in design, development, QA phases. Candidate will be using Agile development methodology for incremental feature development. Candidate will be required to interact with marketing, user experience, QA teams additionally throughout the life-cycle of releases.

Requirements:

Candidate must have extensive, proven skills in the following areas:

- Proven leadership in object oriented design and development using J2EE technologies

- Java/J2EE, Spring framework, hibernate, web based architecture/design/development

- Process oriented approach to design and development

- Strong problem solving, debugging, code-digging skills

- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Experience in media technologies from application perspective

Following skills are preferred to have:

- REST architecture

- Basic networking knowledge

- Video domain experience
