Our Charlotte, NC office is seeking a Sr. Java Web Developer to join the hawkeye team.

Position Description:

The Interactive Web Development team develops and supports marketing and loyalty systems that include call center applications and highly evolved multi site databases.  Our developers employ full lifecycle thinking in everything they do.

The ideal candidate must be an experienced developer in most phases of the project life cycle, including Requirements, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and Implementation and is required to be knowledgeable in several of the major technology areas within the company.

The Sr. Java Web Developer provides operational support of existing 24x7 systems and develops additional releases and modifications on our databases and web sites.  Adaptability is key - as we switch between various technologies, and assume functions spanning from marketing list processing to advanced web development. 

Qualifications:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6+ years of experience in Web and Database Development, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  
• Experience with Java-based Web application technologies (Spring MVC, Velocity, Ant, Tomcat, and Web Services)
  
• Experience with Web application languages (Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT)
  
• Experience with utilizing open source technologies to solve real-world business needs
  
• Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL)
  
• Experience with Apache Solr and LDAP a plus
  
• Experience with OOD, UML, and design patters a plus
  
• Experience with open-source Web application technologies (PHP) a plus.
  
• Experience with other .Net languages and technologies (C#, IIS) a plus.
  
• Experience with database technologies (MySQL, Oracle) a plus
  
• Experience with Web Content Management platforms (Rythmyx, SiteCore, Sharepoint, Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco) a plus
  
• Experience in data warehousing, data mining, and/or reporting
  
• Project management and strong communication / documentation skills
  
• Ability to work with tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment
  
• Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel pivot tables, and MS Project
  
• Experience in general database design
  
• Some methodology experience (structured A&D, OOA&D, RUP etc.)
