The Associate Director, Compliance, Sales and Marketing will report to the Director, Compliance, Commercial Operations ('Director'), and assist with the implementation of the Corporate Ethics and Compliance Program for the sales, marketing and commercial functions at Eisai. The position will develop and implement strategic compliance plans and recommend effective controls and processes for the sales, marketing and commercial functions, in collaboration with the Director, to achieve compliance with Eisai policies and applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance.



General responsibilities include: providing overall assistance to the Director to ensure that sales, marketing and commercial activities are compliant with legal and ethical requirements and Eisai policies; identifying and assessing risk areas; drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures; developing and delivering live and electronic training to the commercial functions; developing presentations for compliance committee meetings; conducting monitoring events of commercial activities; coordinating and conducting investigations to ensure that complaints and concerns and adequately investigated and addressed; overseeing corrective action plans that may result from monitoring events or investigations; providing daily guidance to sales and marketing personnel; assisting with department and enterprise-wide compliance projects and initiatives.

Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degree (e.g. J.D. or MBA is preferred);

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in legal or compliance function;

Must have prior experience with pharmaceutical manufacturer, biotechnical, medical device or healthcare organization, or in representing these organizations;

Must have proficient knowledge of laws, regulations, industry guidance and best practices regarding compliant sales and marketing activities;

Must have prior experience in the implementation of policies and training;

Must possess strong verbal, written, presentation and other communications skills;

Prior experience in investigations and monitoring of pharmaceutical activities is a plus;

Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently, demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, possesses sound professional judgment and ethics, and has ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
