Life Technologies has an immediate opportunity available for a Sr. Manager, Human Resources at the Carlsbad, CA headquarters. 

Overview:

Responsible for implementation, administration and operation of high value quality human resources programs, practices and procedures to Global Services employees. Assists in the integration of complex business factors to build business and employee capability, develop leaders, succession plan and drive business change efforts. Administers programs designed to establish and maintain effective employee relations through the uniform and equitable application of policies and procedures.  Effectively liaisons and coordinates with peers, counterparts across sites/locations to support business goals and objectives.  Responsible for providing guidance and thought leadership to client groups on business matters with a lens on human asset management.  Responsible for  implementation of strategies and programs to strengthen the organization's ability to respond quickly and effectively to change opportunities within and across functions and business units.

 

 Principal Accountabilities:

• Provide front-line advisory and consultative services to managers and employees in the Global Services organization.
• Presents business case for HR programs and initiatives in the context of the client groups plans.
• Operationalize core HR programs & business specific HR initiatives.
• Ensures consistent understanding and delivery of current HR approaches, philosophies, policies and programs.
• Works with managers to facilitate the integration of HR processes, policies and programs into business plan.
• Coaches and guides managers in actively managing employee issues and engagement

 

 Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of  the  HR Generalist role.
• 8-10 years of previous HR experience. 
• Experience in supporting global organizations.
• Experience supporting and driving key HR initiatives such as change management, performance management, compensation, coaching & consulting and employee relations issues.
• Experience in supporting an organization on variable (sales) compensation plans.
• Experience driving employee development and capability.

This position is located in Carlsbad, CA. Relocation benefits are not available.
