Sr Manager - Human Resources

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Human Resources organization is charged with ensuring that Express Scripts effectively manages and supports its human capital investment. Key day-to-day responsibilities include supporting human resources needs, policy development and employee relations; driving improvements in employee satisfaction and diversity awareness; providing training and organizational development; and overseeing benefit and compensation plans.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently to provide human resources support to the senior management of a business group on resolution of employee relations issues, benefits issues, policy issues and compensation.  Act as a strategic partner with the senior management in determining HR role.  Facilitate training and orientation classes. Assist with  strategy for assigned business group.  Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures.  This position has supervisory responsibility.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent work experience, Master's degree preferred. A Human Resource certification a plus.  Seven to ten years hands on Human Resources experience and training facilitation experience desired. Previous supervisory experience: minimum five years of managerial /direct supervisory experience. Demonstrated knowledge of human resources generalist functions, extensive employee relations experience, benefits, and payroll knowledge is essential.  Knowledge of current employment law, worker's compensation, ADA, EEOC, and FMLA also required.  The ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and keep issues confidential is critical to this position. Proficiency in Word and Excel is needed.
