The purpose of this position is to steer our retail stores to profitable and sustainable growth through the creation and delivery of comprehensive merchandise financial plans by brand, channel, consumer segment and product in order to expedite store growth. 

  • Create financial plan targets for stores and plan volume, inventory and turn at the consumer segment, store and product category level

  • Plan merchandise assortments and recommend volume forecasts through relevant use of historical and trend information, incorporating quantitative and qualitative data leveraging seasonal hind sights

  • Lead product transitions related to inventory, timing, flow and reconciliation and drive standardized reporting and report creation

  • Conduct a hind sight review in order to capture key learning opportunities

  • Create and publish a state of the business recap on a quarterly basis


 
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (8+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)

  • Minimum 5 years retail or wholesale merchandising and planning experience

  • Expert knowledge of  MS Word and Excel

 
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong financial aptitude with in-depth knowledge of merchandising metrics, assortment planning, and key performance indicators and drivers in the retail market place

  • Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

  • Flexibility and ability to shift gears quickly to manage sku intensive businesses

  • Strong detail orientation, organization and prioritization skills
