Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for area; manages multiple teams with related activities that represent or significantly impact a sub-function; oversees operations that directly impact business profitability and initiates business plans to support the business unit strategy; or responsible for multiple teams or a large warehouse/service center. Participates in business unit or corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people. Typically reports to head of a sub-function.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Defines requirements for transportation operations and ensures the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements & customer expectations
• Responsible for the development of Transportation Management capabilities and solutions to support customer requirements and for supporting the commercialization of those capabilities in the regional markets that Menlo operates in.
• Develops and deploys transportation operational and management solutions and establishes business controls and processes to support regional transportation operations.
• Provides direct supervisory control of ongoing transportation team(s) to ensure service level standards are met
• Identifies and deploys a broad range of customer cost savings initiatives through established processes that ensures gain share revenue targets are met.

•  Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent in training and experience.
