Function/Purpose:
Hasbro's Global Brand Execution team has an immediate, high-profile marketer need for a Senior Manager. In this exciting role, you are responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Global Shows and Events, new brand methodology 'Way to Play-The Sequel', Global Forecasting, centralization of Global Trade Catalogs and oversight of the Global Samples Process. You will strive for process innovations and efficiencies and be a global champion for streamlined execution. As such, the successful candidate will need to be a proactive, collaborative, and responsive team leader/member. With a mindset that combines strong creative acumen with analytic based judgment, you will build and leverage best practices to enable the business to meet and/or exceed brand execution goals.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of Global Brand Executive Director, you will:
Global Shows and Events
· Ensure that all global events maintain a consistent/unified brand image across the product portfolio.
· Lead program agendas and collaborate with global and regional partners on session content.
· Oversee the global events calendar (Toy Fair(s), International Customer Previews, Global Sales Meeting, Brand Summits and other key global trade events).
· Create budgets for global meeting, events and trade shows maintaining cost controls
· Manage the Toy Fair Briefing Process between Global Brand Teams and regional contacts
· Oversee the coordination of posting all global event logistics and materials to the Global Marketing Portal
Way to Play-The Sequel
· Train and coach all relevant Global Brand on the new brand methodology process.
· Partner with GBE Director on driving continuous improvements of WTP-The Sequel tools across the organization.
· Work with Brand Design/IP team on portfolio assessment/analysis on an annual/bi-annual basis.
· Work with GBE Associate Mgr. on WTP- The Sequel development/planning calendar for both toy + game.
Global Forecasting Process
· Partner with Project Management and Corporate Finance on strategic planning for 2011
· Act as corporate “gatekeeper” to ensure regions are meeting forecasting deadlines
· Partner with the Exclusives team on Lock & Load meeting ensuring numbers are aligned
Global Trade Catalog
· Partner with Creative Services on the design of an annual global template.
· Manage calendar of deliverables ensuring we are meeting global deadlines
· Manage communication with the markets/updates to ensure all markets are embracing and executing the initiative
· Coordinate and manage all product photography needs
· Manage budget and maintain cost controls
Global Samples Process
· Ensure that all global markets are embracing and executing the Global Samples Process
· Partner with Model Services team on streamlining communication to the markets on product prioritization
· Manage GBE Sr. Coordinator to ensure invoicing is processed post Customer Previews + Toy Fairs resulting in charge backs to the market.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
· Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in brand marketing and project management, preferably supporting a global brand
· Ideally, 2 years supervisory experience
· Functional experience and/or knowledge will include:
o Experience in training and coaching marketing team members in the process and tools, for inclusion in their global brand planning
o Previous experience in implementing fully integrated marketing programs/ systems/processes
o Good understanding of matrix marketing structures, between global and local teams
o Strong process orientation
o International experience preferred, and global perspective
Critical Skills:
· Excellent leadership and team building/management skills; ability to provide clear and concise direction/feedback to external and internal stakeholders
· Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional and global teams to adopt his/her recommendations
· Ability to understand and anticipate marketer’s needs, and help streamline their presentations to deliver targeted, consistent message
· Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
· Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment
· Strong analytical skills and ability to do forecasting
· Well developed, verbal, written and superb presentation skills
· Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Powerpoint
