Sr. Marketing Manager within UOP's Separations, Additives & Specialties (SA&S) business segment. The SA&S business resides in UOP's Catalyst, Specialties and Adsorbents (CA&S) Business Unit located in Des Plaines, IL.
Position Responsibilities: - Lead AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and STRAP (Strategic Plan) planning for UOP's Molecular Sieve Adsorbents business segment.
- Coordinate with sales leaders to develop Global pricing strategies. Implement regular price management review process to identify areas for price optimization opportunities; Institutionalize use of Vendavo pocket margin tool for Molecular Sieve Adsorbents commercial organization.
- Develop comprehensive product marketing plans for UOP's Molecular Sieve Adsorbents - including positioning, pricing, profitability improvement, lifecycle management planning.
- Define value propositions and working in conjunction with Sales Leader, develop appropriate marketing collateral (sales literature, advertisement, presentation material) to support sale of assigned portfolio of products to targeted global market segments.
- Achieve year over year revenue and profitability growth for Molecular Sieve Adsorbent product lines through new product introduction and by developing & supporting marketing programs that lead to competitive conversions for existing products.
- Develop relationships with strategic customers. Attend major industry trade shows/conferences and coordinate with sales to plan customer/industry related events.
- Provide marketing leadership to VPD process, including identifying product cost reduction opportunities, defining key product requirements and managing the roll out of VPD product to ensure profit improvement goals are met.
- Full management responsibility for Product Managers and/or Specialists, including setting goals, performance management, career development and salary planning responsibilities.
Basic Candidate Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, business is required.
- Minimum of 8 years in technical product marketing/sales experience in the chemical industry.
- Minimum of 5 + years experience in a Product Marketing Manager role.
- Ability to travel 25%.
- US work authorization.
Additional Candidate Qualifications:
- An MBA degree is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills, with ability to positively support, influence and lead internal and external customers as well as peer groups with organization.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategies for growth.
- Experience leading teams or managing people is preferred.
