This position is responsible for developing, leading and implementing the national promotional marketing strategy for PetSmart.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position will supervise 1 direct report.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS
• Leads creation and development of the annual themed promotional strategy:
• Develop and execute the promotions
• Signage development and execution (work with Creative and Merchandising Marketing Teams)
• Work with Promotional Effectiveness/ Merchandising Marketing/Merchandising to align promotional offers in order to maximize program effectiveness & efficiency
• Work cross-functionally within Marketing team and Banfield to maximize program participation & impact
• Assist in the development of the promotional advertising messaging (TV & Radio)
• Conduct competitor/competitive analysis
• Conduct promotional pre/post sale promotion event analysis

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business is required (or related field); and a graduate degree is preferred. Eight to ten years of experience and a track record of managing successful marketing initiatives.
