About the Company
Trulite is a clean tech power products company (20 watts to 2kW) engaged in the development and production of alternative energy sources, such as solar, hydrogen and fuel cells. Our portable generator, the KH4 is a 250 watt system that utilizes Trulite’s proprietary hydrogen storage technology, called the HydroCell. The Hydrocell, generates hydrogen on demand for powering our fuel cells that make electricity.
Job Description
Sr. Mechanical Engineer will:
· Be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of fuel cell power system hardware;
· Design and specify, pump and valve drivers, input/output signal conditioners, and embedded controllers;
· Develop and maintain product designs and specifications;
· Evaluate and conduct appropriate mechanical designs and hardware tradeoffs;
· Conduct technical risk assessments;
· Identify and evaluate major system cost drivers and cost impact of system designs;
· Prepare schematics and engineering analyses supporting designs, including use of computer 3D models;
· Develop process and test criteria for prototypes and products;
· Prepare design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures;
· Have extensive experience with SolidWorks or other parametric design and modeling software;
· Have experience in product design and electro-mechanical systems;
· Lead design engineering and product team reviews;
· Assess product performance, issues and testing for re-design and improvements.
Requirements
· BS or MS in accredited mechanical engineering program.
· 5+ years experience in related field.
· Good knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
· Strong mechanical design skills with 3D modeling experience. SolidWorks experience preferred.
· Manual/CNC Machining experience preferred
· Test and qualify product for shipping.
· Working in a team environment.
