Sr Mechanical Engineer
If you are an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced Mechanical Engineer then consider becoming part of our Design Services team. Your excellent leadership and communication skills along with a high degree of technical proficiency and innovation will be utilized in support of products designed at our six divisions in North America.
When assigned to a project team, you will be working with our vendors on the design of injection molded plastic/rubber parts, sheet metal enclosures and cast metal parts. You will validate your design decisions through application of sound theoretical performance models and DOE. Your recommendations for meeting cost and performance requirements will be a deliverable to the project team. Hands-on work with prototypes will include validating part stack-up and internal PCB clearances, thermal management analysis, and testing to confirm theoretical analysis.
Required Qualifications
◊ BSME with 15 years of Mechanical Design experience
◊ Proficiency in use of the Pro-Engineer tool
◊ Excellent communication and presentation skills
◊ Use of IR technology for thermal management validation
◊ Use of Stress/Strain gauges to measure PCB flex under load
◊ Experience with RF shielding techniques
◊ Experience in the design of injection molded plastic and rubber parts
◊ Strong understanding and application of DFx principles
◊ Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks a plus
