This position is responsible for all activities related to the administration, planning, and development of the Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS). Additionally, incumbent will be responsible for the formulation and/or implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to the Windows OS, and OS security maintenance. This position is also primary interface with AT&T and other contracting supplier support organizations. Job duties include, but are not exclusive to:

? Maintain all related activities for the administration, planning and development of the Windows OS.

? Formulation and/or implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to OS management.

? OS Security

? Daily user management and maintenance.

? New software implementation, installation and troubleshooting.

? Be responsive to AT&T PDS requests for support.

? Oversee annual PC technology refresh project.

? Maintain Windows OS server architecture and planning.

The Information Technology Group (ITG) has a core function within the NOC to see that all software and hardware are productive. This group is responsible to identifying, tracking, and repairing troubles within AT&T JHITS network.



Maintain all related activities for the administration, planning and development of computerized databases.

? Perform NMS JSA platform software installations and maintenance.

? Develops, maintains, and controls the user ID assignments.

? Monitors NMS JSA security audit trails.

? Maintains, refines/enhances the logical file space structures, as necessary.

? Support of software updates, generic retrofits, backups, installation and vendor management.

? Monitors network performance statistics and recommends improvements.

? Complete Trouble Ticket Time To Repair activity within prescribed time limits.

? Prepares reports as required.

? Performs OS back-ups.

? Establish and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance functions.

? Participate in out of hours support for Windows OS.

. Formulation and/or implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to OS management.

? Creation and management of user ID policies with the scope of the project to insure security standards

? Develops standards and implements procedures for testing the back-up and recovery procedures of automated systems and security and privacy of automated systems.

? Maintains Windows security

? Develops and maintains control programs for NMS JSA access



New software implementation, installation and troubleshooting.

? Recommend software upgrades, or improvements, as necessary.

? Consults with programmers and users to develop test data to exercise the user-applications software.

? Work with NMS Engineering and the Surveillance and Monitoring Group on process and procedural developments and improvements.

8+ Years with HS or 5+ Years with AA or 2+ Years with BS

Ability to operate with limited supervision. Coordinate and demonstrate ability to perform backup and recovery operations between the NOC and ANOC using EMC RPA and scripts.
