Summary:
The Sr. Network Engineer role is to design, build, and support the network infrastructure for the ecommerce site. They will collaborate with other teams on a regular basis to design and support. Additionally, you will conduct research and evaluate network technology.
Responsibilities:
- Support ecommerce network infrastructure
- Provide network solutions for short, medium, and long term ecommerce projects
- Maintain documentation of problems with actions taken utilizing BMS Remedy
- Research, test, recommend and deploy firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches on the local and wide area network.
- Infrastructure monitoring using Solarwinds and Netcool
- Provide training and group instruction to staff on network hardware and software
- Provide after hour on call support
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of Cisco Networking Experience
- CCNP/CCIE certification is a plus
- Experience working in a large environment or for a large company
- Advanced knowledge of Routing Protocols ( OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Advanced knowledge of layer 2/3 switching (Cisco 6500 and Nexus)
- Advanced knowledge of firewall configuration and troubleshooting experience ( Cisco, ASA/FWSM, Nokia, Checkpoint)
- Advanced troubleshooting using network analyzers
- Network Instruments experience is a plus
- Self Motivator
