Medicity is seeking a Sr. Operational Database Administrator to help support and maintain their leading platform for sharing patient medical information with those who need it to provide better care. The DBA will work within the Data Management team to maintain and support large and small healthcare organizations across the country.   The environment is fast-paced and challenging as Medicity is at the forefront of the medical IT revolution.  The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, team-oriented and an exceptional problem solver.
 
Responsibilities

• Be the senior DBA on a team of DBA’s to manage multiple SQL Server databases


• Design and maintain plans and Schedules for database maintenance


• Design and maintain security on databases


• Troubleshoot and manage production issues


• Work with System Admin Teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems


• Work with developers on bugs and resolutions for software issues 


• Design stored procedures, triggers, views and tables.


• Performance tuning of databases and indexes


• One call rotation

Requirements

• 5+ years of OLTP/OLAP SQL Server experience


• Knowledge of MSCS required


• NAS/SAN Storage experience required


• Clear and articulate communication skills


• SSRS or SSIS experience a plus


• Knowledge of CLR procedures and functions


• Knowledge of SQL Server 2008 required

Education and Skills

• BSCS or equivalent working experience


• Microsoft certification – MCITP preferred


• Other industry recognized certifications a plus
