Position Description:
Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.
Position Requirements:
· BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Technology, M.S. preferred
· 8+ years of enterprise-level Oracle DBA experience (9i and 10g RAC required)
· Strong proficiency in Migrating, Patching, and performance tuning
· Strong sub-system tuning, SQL performance tuning and installs/configurations
· Strong Scripting experience – Shell, SQL, PL/SQL
· Must be proficient working in Windows, Linux and AIX
· Prefer experience with PL/SQL Developer, Spatial Option/ASM/RAC/Grid Controller, ESRI Spatial Data Engine, WebSphere, webMethods, XML, Java/J2EE, Hibernate, Web Services, SOA, ESB technologies, and MS Project.
