Ansaldo STS USA, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA has an immediate need for a Sr. Oracle DBA:

Duties:

• Act in a Senior Oracle Database Administrator capacity
• Responsible for both ASTS production databases at customer locations and internally
• Work with database team members and software engineers concerning database administration issues, SQL tuning, PL/SQL development and database architecture
• On-call rotation for 24x7 support

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in EE, CS or IS

• Five years experience as an Oracle DBA in a 24x7x365 production environment

Must have working knowledge of the following:

• Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle 9i and 10g)
• Oracle Data Guard (Oracle 10g)
• Database backup and recovery using RMAN (Oracle 9i and 10g)
• RHEL Linux
• SQL performance tuning using TKPROF and 10046 trace mechanisms
• CSH/KSH scripting skills
• Architect high volume OLTP databases in a 24x7x365 environment
• Oracle 9i/10g Certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
