Sr Planner-Sams

-Lead team of planners to achieve budgeted Sales, Inventory, and Profit in conjunction with the Segment Leader (SVP).
-Oversight of planner development plans and track progress towards those plans.  Develop consistent processes and procedures for planning to allow planners to become experts in their fields.  Prepare planners for next steps in their careers.  Includes Hiring, People Development, Coaching, and Evaluating performance of each team member
-Provide clear communication to Planners, Merchandising Executives, Replenishment Executives, and Operations.  This would include Timelines, upcoming Deadlines, process and system updates, follow-up, Correction of errors, Performance recaps and Challenges for Improvement.
-Actively engaged in the oversight of Category Line Reviews and Plan Reviews to insure that plans are well constructed communicated and systems and processes have been utilized correctly.  Attend Open to Buy meetings with SVP to challenge plans, provide insight, and drive decision making process.
-Direct Planning process.  Make sure Planners are achieving Planning Calendar deadlines, plans are complete and well thought out, item quantity decisions and placement accounted for, all processes are followed, and communication is clear and complete for Planners
-Insure adequate systems are available for planners to perform their jobs.  Work with ISD to create systems to make planners more efficient and accurate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels (Merchandising, Replenishment, Suppliers and Executive teams).
-Proven ability to lead and get results.  Focused on team approach to category management
-Strong financial/analytical skill sets
-Impeccable integrity and stress tolerance
-Strong Organizational Skills / Exceptional Customer Service
-Bachelor¿s Degree or 5-7 years of relevant experience

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Sam¿s Planning Application knowledge (Oracle and Sam¿s Planning Suite)
-Allocation, Outlook, Infopac, SharePoint, Wire, Enlighten, Host and demonstrated retail Link and Excel expertise
-Master¿s degree or 8-10 years of relevant experience
