This position is located in our RI, Middletown facility
1. Performs advanced engineering work concerned with the design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation of software components, equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses.
2. Develop system design using UML version 2.0 and DODAF version 1.5.
3. Develop software design using UML version 2.0.
4. Identifies, documents, and evaluates clients' functional requirements.
5. Develop formal documentation in accordance with IEEE 12207 specification (SFS, SARAD, SAD, SDD, etc).
6. Perform formal requirement and design reviews with the government (SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR).
7. Provide inputs to system testing.
8. Conducts independent technical investigations and provides impact assessments and design recommendations to clients.
9. Provides engineering subject matter expertise to assigned clients, and may also advise other internal groups.
10. Reviews, writes, and provides updates to technical documentation and provides quality assurance and review of technical reports and documentation written by other engineers.
11. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced engineers and engineering support staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
12. Serves as technical team or task lead.
13. Recommends major changes in procedures or objectives.
14. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
15. Participates in special projects as required.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Requires 10-15 years of related engineering experience.
1. Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
2. Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
3. Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.
Active Secret Clearance or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
