Candidate shall assist with business development efforts including the creating proposals and white papers, leading customer focus groups, managing vendor relationships, and playing an advisory/consulting role for the technical and project teams. As key contributors of the organization, Statera Consultants often oversee and lend advice for multiple concurrent projects as well as provide mentoring to other Statera consultants. In addition to their responsibilities of satisfying client needs, Statera Consultants focus on advancing the firm's capabilities by documenting, creating, and promoting the firm's intellectual property.



Principals are responsible for managing projects and consultant as it relates to the project. They play a key role in helping Statera to continue to grow. Principals are responsible for staying abreast of current and breaking technologies and market trends. As leaders of the organization, Principals often oversee and lend advice for multiple concurrent projects as well as provide mentoring to Statera consultants. Job Description:



This position is for senior or principal consultants within the infrastructure consulting practice.  The consultants will work under the guidance/leadership of the Infrastructure Practice Lead.  The primary responsibilities of the consultants are to plan, analyze, architect, test, build, and implement Microsoft infrastructure solutions.  The consultants will also work closely with the Infrastructure Practice Lead to expand/grow the practice by developing new service offerings and by identifying industry trends and strategic partnerships.


Responsibilities:


·         Positions cover infrastructure projects centered around deploying Active Directory, Exchange, Windows 7, MDOP and Server 2008 R2. 


·         Work history should include experience with some of the following:  SCVMM, Hyper-V, App-V, Med-V, AGPM, DirectAccess, Branch Office Caching, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and System Center Data Protection Manager (SCDPM), OCS


·         A deep understanding of deployments and best practices is required.


·         Work with clients and other team members to architect and develop Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions.


·         Provide thought leadership and guidance for project teams and junior team members.


·         Engage the client as a trusted advisor and quickly gain credibility.


·         Work closely with the Infrastructure practice lead to develop new practice offerings.


·         Engage with Account Executives and Clients during the presales phase to collect necessary information to draft Statements of Work.


·         Investigate business needs and discuss new opportunities with the Sales Executive.


·         Create and host custom product and solution demonstrations.


·         Lead requirements gathering sessions.


·         Consult with the client on a "best practices" approach to Project Management and Change Management.


 


 Requires:


·         10 plus years experience in providing IT solutions.


·         5 years experience in IT / Management Consulting Services.


·         Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking capabilities.


·         Proven track record of enterprise level design and deployment of Windows Server 2003, Active Directory and Exchange 2007.


·         Ability to quickly master new technologies.


·         Strong consulting experience in analysis, design and architecture, scoping, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, and Exchange 2007.


·         Work independently, managing your own schedule and priorities.


·         Persistence and tenacity in managing client needs to deliver according to the Statement of Work.


·         Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities.


·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


·         Well-organized and demonstrates ability to administer client activities in consulting services.


·         Strong ability to be successful in a team environment.


·         Demonstrated resourcefulness in current/past positions.


·         Translate business requirements to configuration specifications.


·         Minimal travel <20%


·         Bachelor’s degree.


 


PREFERRED:


 


·         MCSE, MCTS/MCITP a plus.


·         Experience with Office Communications Server including telephony integration.


·         Project management experience.


·         Experience with the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF).
