Stampin' Up! is looking for a full time employee who
will work
with the product design manager, design team, vendors, and others to produce
innovative new product lines and product-line extensions, product packaging,
print, and on-line documents that include concept design, layout, photography,
and illustration.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participate
in creative strategy meetings with Product Art Director, Product
Management Director, designers, concept artists, marketing specialists,
and others in determining project specifications and developing concepts,
production, and execution timelines for new products. - Create
mock-ups, prototypes and/or procure samples of new products for concept
artists, photography, and testing. - Archive
artwork electronically for future retrieval from electronic graphic
library. - Use
technology and other alternatives to improve quality and cost efficiency
of creative projects. - Proof and test materials, and
obtain necessary approvals prior to production. - Communicate
daily with product design supervisor, design team, and vendors. - Evaluate
trends in rubber stamping, scrapbooking, vinyl wall part, digital art
solutions, and craft markets continually. - Offer
technical assistance to other team members, and provide feedback during
the design process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree in graphic design, illustration, or fine arts. - Three
years of professional experience in graphic or product design. - Expertise
with Macintosh graphic programs such as In Design, Photoshop, and
Illustrator, and knowledge of publishing programs. - Proficiency
in printing and design principles. - Attention
to detail with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within
specific timeframes. - Good
communication skills with a willingness to share ideas and contribute to a
collaborative effort. - High
degree of initiative with ability to work independently and in a team
environment.
