The Consumer Data Products group is looking for a uniquely talented individual to drive the design vision for AT&T's wireless data products. As part of a team focused on bringing Usability to the forefront of our product design efforts, you will provide the direction and vision to ensure efficient UI, UX and IA throughout the product development cycle. You will work with product management, interactive design agencies and creative talent to transform cool ideas into usable, market-leading wireless apps.

Your expertise in wireless and web-based software application design is needed to deliver simple, elegant user interaction solutions across AT&T's 3 screens - mobile, web, and TV. In this highly visible role, you will be helping to shape the user interaction model for AT&T's converged services. You will be on the leading edge of product design to deliver information, music, video, games, social networking and location based services to AT&T customers across multiple end user terminals.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence a broad range of AT&T's mobile data products at the user interaction level, and your ability to communicate user experience considerations across teams and to Senior Leadership will be crucial to the success of highly strategic products.


Primary Responsibilities
* Help guide team members and design agencies in executing product design against established style guides and user experience models; review and evaluate IA, UI and creative design, as well as manage the delivery of design artifacts.

* Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, interaction flows, and visual mockups to effectively communicate product intent. Effectively communicate product usability issues and design options to team members and leadership.

* Ensure all Design and Usability needs are executed on time and at a high standard. Proactively obtain feedback and information to drive design decisions. Set priorities, manage scope and provide actionable guidance to ensure delivery.

* Advocate for consistency of user interface design while fostering consensus and understanding of the customer-centric intersection between Design, Usability, Content, Business and Marketing viewpoints.

* Cultivate a team culture and focus on Usability design and innovation; stay current on leading Design practices and identify opportunities to incorporate where applicable.

* Participate in multiple, simultaneous product development projects in various capacities ranging from managing creative agencies to iterative prototyping.

Position Qualifications

Functional/Technical Skills

* Fluency in best practices for web based information architecture and design, as well as fundamental usability principles.

* Experience designing end-user, web-based and mobile applications, with experience ranging from creative concepts to detailed user flows and site architecture.

* Experience designing applications that span multiple end-user terminals (i.e., web, mobile, TV).

* Experience in digital content and content management systems.

* Ability to quickly understand broad strategic concepts, and also capable of focusing on the details level to weigh options and identify tactical product solutions.

* Ability to manage ambiguity and work autonomously on multiple simultaneous projects.

* Expert with Visio, Photoshop, HTML editors.

* Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.


Education & Experience

* 4+ years experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
* 4+ years experience in mobile product development or application design
* 3+ years experience managing the work of digital creative agencies
* 2+ years experience in digital content management or related field
