Description: HRIS analysts are responsible for providing functional production support for HR applications, HR Reporting, developing functional specifications for applications development and/or modification, conducting workflow analyses, evaluating systems changes required to support HR functions and for designing & implementing test plans to evaluate those changes. The individual will work with end users, technical staff, and other departments within Expedia This role serves all facets of HRIS information technology and the business functions of Expedia including applications using web-based, client-server, host and alternative delivery products. Adherence to Project Methodology, SDLC, HRIS change control practices/processes, SOX policies and practices, audit requirements and procedures falls within the scope of responsibilities for all jobs in the HRIS Analyst Job Family.
Responsibilities: 1..Fills Product Steward role for more-complex HR Applications. 2. Trains others in specialized skills; delivers training in classroom setting or on-the-job. 3. Fills formal Project Management role on small to mid-sized HR Projects/Initiatives. 4. Design test plans. 5. Design and maintain production support plans. 6. Participate in Enterprise-Wide Projects/initiatives representing HRIS as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). 7. Communicates and interfaces directly with application Business Owners and their representatives to gain in-depth knowledge of business operations. 8. Advance PeopleSoft Workflow knowledge
Qualifications: Requires a demonstrated ability to >Develop and write functional requirements, work flow analysis and test scripts. >Test, debug and certify integrity of automated solutions and programs. >Utilize problem solving skills to resolve problems using logic, policy and procedure. >Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by specific job duties. >Communicate effectively to a variety of staff in oral, written and electronic communications. >Apply sound judgment in making decisions in accordance with operational policies and practices of the organization. >Understand and work closely with ERP developers, including translating technical parameters into user-friendly terminology for HR clients. >Understand and apply non-routine guidelines. >Assign and review the work of other analysts. >Collaboratively solve problems in order to satisfactorily meet the needs of customers within the constraints of the operations and HRIS. >Oversee all aspects of small-mid sized HR projects/initiatives, including needs assessment, feasibility assessment, system specification development, project tracking and reporting, development management, SIT/UAT and implementation. >Work effectively and professionally with Senior Business and Technical management. >Advanced troubleshooting and reconciliation capability.
Work Experience and Education Guidelines: Minimum 4 years related systems analysis experience as an HRIS Analyst, or 6 years exempt experience within one or more HR disciplines, which included project management, workflow analysis and innovative problem solving; or equivalent experience. PeopleSoft experience is preferred.
