Job Summary

The position forms part of the Hair Care Research & Development team of the North American Regional Deploy Center. The role is to undertake the Product Development responsibilities of Wash & Care and styling aids projects. This will involve plan, design, coordinate, conduct all necessary research & developmental activities to achieve the project objectives and their preparation for launch in Unilever’s global and regional brands

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To implement robust innovation plans to support the business needs

2. To interface with CDC s on behalf of the NA region. To play an active role on Global Project Teams, working with the CDC to ensure the robustness and suitability of innovations, for NA consumers, for their region.

3. Responsible for innovation of agreed Regional / local Jewels using proven technology (from within the category toolbox) and operating within the Category Product Logic framework.

4. To be the custodian of the safety, robustness and the quality of these innovations. Coordinate the activities of development personnel in other RDpC areas so as to fully characterize all products using standard procedures and ensure that they are suitable and safe for consumer testing

5. Excellent rounded communication skills ensuring seamless working with Brand team, CDC, Measurement science,Consumer science, Claims, Processing, Packaging groups and external supplier personnel

6. Lead cross functional team to meet project objectives

Key Requirements

BS- in Physical Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or closely related field with 10 plus years experience of product development of Hair care(Wash & care and styling aids) products or Masters in Physical Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or closely related field with 7 plus years experience of product development of Hair care( wash & care )
