Sr. Proposal Manager

About the Job

Lead proposal development efforts for small and large proposals, work with external and internal proposal resources, produce press releases, develop brochures and support business development activities. 


 


Must demonstrate multiple skills and responsibilities in a dynamic environment, while working on multiple projects, including preparing corporate communication documents and creating materials for company brochures.  The position will be part of a Business Development Team and reports directly to the Sr. Business Development Representative.


 


  • Lead Proposal Review

  • Manage the development and production of proposals and other sales tools for new sales and renewal opportunities

  • Responsible for the coordination, preparation and submission of major bids to clients in response to qualified opportunities by ensuring the highest quality of service is provided while remaining consistency with the Company’s policies, procedures and philosophies

  • Assist in preparing sales tools (e.g., presentations, letters, and overviews) that facilitate potential new clients

  • Coordinate support and information from all of the contributors in the bid development and approval process

  • Assist internal departments in the development of proposal responses, providing follow-up assistance and expertise when needed

  • Develop and maintain response information materials for proposals to utilize as a reference tool to complete future proposals which may include the initial response and updates of materials as information is disseminated

  • Review and update proposal materials on a continuous basis

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Company’s technologies, clients, and business divisions in order to assist in the proposal process

  • Participate in the activities involved in the quality resolution of issues or concerns associated with proposal submitted

  • Track and report all Win/Loss information to help evaluate the performance of our business development proposal process

  • Develop advertising and marketing collateral that supports specific core capabilities and marketing objectives

  • Coordinate other assigned projects independently and in a timely manner

  • Responsible for supporting the company in responding to government and commercial Requests for Proposal and other bidding opportunities

  • Develop compliant, responsive, and competitive technical responses

  • Create new content for management, past performance, quality control, and staffing sections based on research

  • Write specific proposal components based upon a standardized methodology and researched material

  • Edit all proposals and marketing material

  • Ensure deadlines are met

  • Develop a basic understanding of software systems development and maintenance processes

  • Interact with Subject-Matter Experts to ensure the accuracy of documentation

  • Participate in document reviews
