The incumbent is responsible engineer in our regional engineering team with focus on packing material, packing processes, packing material production and related equipment. He/She is part of a dynamic, highly respected and ambitious team that will support projects for existing and new manufacturing sites. He/She is integrated from conceptual stage and development and qualification of packing material up to successful production start.



What we offer





  • Design of process units, including establishing process design basis, development of process options and optimization of selected design.






  • Preparation of deliverables like basic specification for design, options for material choice of production process, safety requirement and its qualifications based on legal needs, environmental studies and quality inspection methods






  • Controls and approve specifications and operating instructions for packing equipment.






  • Participates in planning, cost development and management and scheduling of packing projects.






  • Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards and customer requirements.






  • Prepares and reviews feasibility reports.






  • Defines vendor scope and reviews vendor data.






  • Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customers.






  • Assists with the preparation of deliverables for submission to authorities.






  • Drive standardization processes across Henkel the sites






  • Works in close cooperation with the R&D department






  • Support for establishing tender documents and purchasing of equipment






  • Support site audits






  • Flexibility to travel (< 25%).




Qualification:

Who we are looking for




  • Minimum 8+ years of working experience in mechanical engineering in packing area e.g. packing material suppliers and/or packing/filling machine suppliers




  • Experience in packing design primary, secondary and final packaging.




  • Track record in bottle design and manufacturing both blow molding and injection stretch blow molding ISBM




  • Track record in injection molding of packings department of chemical plant or process engineering consultancy organization




  • Master/Bachelor Mechanical Engineering degree




  • Exposure to Food / Pharma / FMCG plants preferred




  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office




  • Good communication skills and able to work effectively as part of a team




  • Fluent in English. Additional languages are advantage




  • Effective stakeholder management




  • Customer and service oriented attitude
