| Essential Duties & Responsibilities: | |||||||||||||
| JOB SUMMARY: The Remedy Specialist conducts assessments of the Remedy system and the business processes supporting incidents, service requests, and change requests.? Based upon the assessments, the Remedy Specialist formulates and implements strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with team members responsible for other disciplines such as business processes, standards processes,enterprise architecture, documentation requirements, IT infrastructure, software tools, as well as continuity of operations and disaster recovery.? Responsibilities: • Provide subject matter expertise on Remedy and the associated business processes • Provide strategic and tactical guidance on and serve as the client adviser on Remedy and the associated business processes • Perform assessments and develop plans to form the vision and direction for Remedy and the associated business processes • Develop appropriate methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address client objectives, driving the organization toward efficient and effective business results • Facilitate stakeholder work sessions focused on transforming the organization and making decisions that balance and prioritize competing interests • Manage the implementation of enhancements to the Remedy system and associated business processes • Plan, coordinate, integrate, and advocate positions as related to the Remedy system and associated business processes • Apply specialization to the conceptualization, design, construct, test, and implementation of enhancements to the Remedy system and the associated business processes • Participate in business and technical IT planning, development, and implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions; and recommend solutions as appropriate • Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies to ensure customer requirements are met • Assist in reviewing other system and programming designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technologies • Ability to assess the strategic landscape while also having the willingness and ability to perform hands-on, deliverable-based tasks • Work with customers to establish and maintain excellent working relationships, resolve issues, and promote team services and capabilities | |||||||||||||
| Required Qualifications: | |||||||||||||
| Work as a Remedy developer and/or administrator and security specialist for Incident Management, Change Management, Asset management module and ITSM CMDB in Remedy AR System 7. Provisioning of users and groups in various Remedy modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management and custom home grown applications within Remedy AR System. Implement role-based access throughout the Remedy systems, allowing for self-service, service measurement and reporting, service provisioning and management, and service requirements definition, all within the Remedy system. Working closely with users to identify their provisioning needs and direct them on how to submit correct tickets. Working with the automation team to provide requirements for the automation solution for user provisioning, service delivery, service catalog, service metrics identification and dataflow, and service level management. REQUIRED SKILLS 2+ years of Remedy Developer and Administrator experience. Strong knowledge of Remedy Forms, Active Links, Filters, Escalations, Menus, Guides, workflow, Reporting and other related components. Strong Knowledge of Remedy ARS, Incident Mgt, Problem Mgt, Knowledge Mgt, Change Mgt, and Service Request Mgt modules version 7.0. Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies. Ability to produce system technical solutions and requirements based on user requirements and design documentation that describes system requirements, performance criteria, data flows, and end-user interfaces. Good knowledge of Database structures and architecture (SQL Server). Skills configuring and operating the newScale Service Catalog software (Portfolio Center, Demand Center) is a plus. Knowledge of COGNOS Data Mart and service dashboard design is a plus. Knowledge of SharePoint portal administration and management is a plus. ITIL v3 Foundation certification is a definite plus. Should be self-starter with excellent communication and team-oriented skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. | |||||||||||||

| Requirements: • 6+? years experience in administering Remedy ARS infrastructure(s) and developing ARS applications • ITIL Foundation Certification • Expert knowledge of administering BMC Remedy ARS • Expert knowledge of programming with BMC Remedy ARS • Knowledge of Remedy applications with hands on experience with ITSM 7 & CMDB and other BMC ITSM related products • Ability to define and implement processes based on DoD guidelines, organizational policies, and industry best practices • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically challenging, and dynamic environment • Ability to apply analytical skills, problem solving, and attention to detail Desired Qualifications: • Knowledge of Microsoft products o Office applications o Word, Project, Excel o SQL Server 2005 Administration o Windows Server Administration o IIS Web Server Administration and Configuration • Project management skills o Facilitate team meetings o Translate business requirements into technical design documents o Create process, data and workflow models, including integration into third party components o Assist Management to define the business requirements, determine scope, estimate work effort, and determine duration of development and unit test o Able to lead and mentor the team • Integrate Remedy ARS to other systems such as Active directory
