We are currently seeking a Sr. Scientist - Immunocharacterization for our Biotechnology lab in Greenfield IN. As a Sr. Scientist you will provide scientific leadership in the technical specialty of immunology.
 
•Provides technical expertise and leadership in the area of immunology
•Provides technical training and mentoring of junior laboratory staff
•Provides superior “Hands on” support for the Immunology group
•Leads technical investigations
•Supports the definition of and implementation of startup priorities, systems and SOPs for the biotechnology group
•Participates in technical discussions with clients on site and at their sites as necessary to support their analytical needs and to determine the appropriate resolution of client issues.
•Supports Sales and Marketing efforts on site and at client sites as requested
•Assists in assigning and scheduling study performance
•Guides junior staff and less experienced peers in GLP and cGMP interpretation.
•Writes SOPs supporting Analytical testing, Quality systems, data systems, technical issues and instrumentation
•Writes and supports the writing of study proposals and reports

Experience:

•Expertise in the analysis of Biotech/Biopharmaceutical products using immunologically based techniques
•Hands on expertise in the performance of ELISA and other binding assays, use of plate readers, robotic systems,and analytical software.
• Experience with non-kit based ELISA and binding assays is needed.
•Hands on expertise in the performance of ELISA and other binding assays, use of plate readers, robotic systems,and analytical software.
•Functional knowledge of LIMS and other electronic data systems

Education:

- Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree
 - 5 or more years of experience in a Regulated biotechnology, biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
- 8 or more years of scientific experience relevant to the performance of immunologically based analysis.
- Preference for experience in a high throughput QC release laboratory or contract laboratory performing release testing. Relevant software and automation experience prefered GMP compliance experience strongly preferred.
- This is a hands on position.
- Strong written communication skills are needed
