The Select Customer Sales Representative is responsible for building strong agency knowledge and relationships to increase the profitable flow of new business for a designated territory. By effectively utilizing customer and industry knowledge; together with The Hartford's Value Proposition, Sales Process, Tools and Resources we will deliver agency value and achieve financial objectives.
The Sales Representative is responsible for creating demand and enabling agents to maximize the flow of desired business to meet or exceed Hartford financial goals in the territory.
1) Sales: Utilizing The Hartford's disciplined sales process, the Sales Representative will build and maintain strong agency relationships in the assigned territory to meet or exceed the financial objectives for the territory. The Sales Representative will enable agents to maximize their revenue through the sale of Hartford products and services by providing tools and information that differentiates The Hartford and its overall value proposition from competitors. The Sales Representative will also exercise discipline and focus around flow management to ensure adequate flow and acceptable mix of business to meet agency and company growth objectives.
2) Agency Management and Agency Planning: Develop a deep understanding of each assigned agent, their needs and capabilities, leveraging key relationships and resources which maximize production opportunities in the marketplace. Build actionable Agency Sales Plans that align with Hartford financial objectives for growth, retention and profit.
3) Territorial Management: Develop a thorough understanding of an assigned territory, including the right number and mix of agents who have the market opportunity to meet the Sales Representative's territorial financial objectives. Build deep knowledge of industry practices, market conditions and competitor information to position the agency to maximize business development. Align Hartford strategies and support to continually increase market share. Create call plans to prioritize and leverage agency contact and activity to ensure sustainable flow of desired business.
