The individual in this position will be responsible for the further development and on-going support of software for Nanometrics's Unifire Semiconductor tool product line. This can range from troubleshooting the instrument in the fab to developing new applications and algorithms. In detail the individual's Reposponsibilities include:

Design, develop, review, test, and support software solutions for current and future Unifire semiconductor product line. For support, you will be expected to work at all levels of software from motion control, to data acquisition, to applications and vision algorithms. Software development opportunities range from C#, GUI, and applications to working on new vision solutions. You will work closely with our Milpitas CA, and Hillsboro OR software and applications group and will also prepare and maintain field reports as well as project documents.

Experience is required in C# and C++ in a Microsoft .NET environment. Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: Electrical Engineering, Software, SEMI Standards, Hardware/Software Integration, Optics and/or Metrology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills are required. This is the ideal position for an experienced engineer who wants both hands-on tool experience as well as the opportunity to work on and/or run more algorithmically intensive software projects.
