Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, tests and debugs application programs.
• Develops code derived from a design document using appropriate development standards.
• Performs unit testing of the code and performs integration level testing with other features and products within the system.
• Write design documents.
• Maintains knowledge of Lawson systems elements and products as well as current technologies in software development and industry trends.

Qualifications

• 4 year college, technical school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience Unix/Windows platform administration is required.
• 5+ years programming experience in C, C++ or Java.
• Solid Virtualization experience working with VMware is required and exposure to Hyper-V is desirable.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL server and WebSphere application server.
• Exposure to and/or strong interest in automation using scripting languages, Perl, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with experience running managed services/hosted systems is desirable.
• Exposure to Cloud Computing concepts and Amazon Elastic Cloud (EC2) is strongly preferred.
