The Senior Software Engineer in Quality will provide leadership in the development of automated test suites and platforms to help drive end to end test execution.

Candidates must demonstrate proven success in the following areas:

* Direct the creation of experimental lab configurations and the management of Windows/VMWare based servers to run simulations and tests.
* Develop test plans within an agile framework from development specifications; define methodologies, pass/fail criteria, risk assessment and assumptions.
* Ensure features achieve the desired level of functional flow and quality - including reliability, security and performance.
* Heavily influence the options for 'building in' testability during design and development phases.
* Strategically identify new tools and techniques and work closely with other leaders to implement them.
* Assist in the process and plan for extending all tests and bring them to automated build tests.
* Assist in solving complex lab and production configuration issues across multiple teams and development personnel.
* Handle multiple tasks effectively and communicate well. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Contribute to the implementation of automation principles with the QA team, define best practices, lead the adoption of technologies and tools that drive efficiencies throughout the team.
* Actively participate in establishing project and sprint plans, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones.

Qualifications:

* BS Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
* Experience with distributed environments in a Microsoft Windows Server, Web and applications servers and SQL Server topology
* Tools development and implementation experience using Perl or other scripting languages.
* Strong ability and interest in coding with at least one of the following: Java, Groovy and/or Selenium and Silk a strong plus.
* Demonstrated success within a hi-functioning test driven development environment a strong plus.
* Prior experience of working with Windows Process monitoring
* Exposure to database application mgmt using MS SQL Server, or other relational database engines.
* Good understanding of source management techniques and discipline, preferably with Subversion or Perforce.
* Understanding of software engineering skills and QA/Test and automation methodologies.
* Experience testing multi-tier web applications a strong plus.
* Experience with SQL & databases a strong plus.
* Knowledge and experience with testing tools for application performance, test plan design and coverage tracking.
* Proven problem solving behaviors.
* Ability to motivate and mentor junior and senior staff a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a small, highly accountable development environment.
