Job Description:



The Sr. Computer Systems Technologist I (Sr. System Administrator) will provide system administration support to both UNIX (Solaris, Linux, etc.) and Windows operating systems in an Active Directory/NIS environment.



The candidate will be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.



The candidate will work closely with other system administrators, end-to-end engineers, and remote maintainters to ensure optimal response time for received tasks.



All of the work performed must be done so in a timely manner to avoid any unnecessary impacts to our customer and organization. At times, the candidate will also be required to advise management of status and provide recommendations for solutions.



The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and must be able to communicate effectively on multiple levels - both technical and programmatic. The position requires an existing security clearance for access to supported programs.



Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills:



Requires a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a directly related subject, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of four (4) years of applicable work experience.



Requires three or more years of System Administration experience on UNIX and/or Windows operating systems.



Requires one or more years of System Administration experience on UNIX operating systems.



Requires one or more years of System Administration experience on Windows operating systems.





U.S. citizenship is required



Requires a current and active TS/SCI SSBI security clearance.





Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge:



Experience with, and good understanding of, the Windows Active Directory environment.



Linux, Solaris, NIS, Centrify, and Veritas skills strongly desired



Windows CNA certification strongly desired



VMS skills a plus



VMWare and Other Virtualization technologies a plus



Tripwire Auditing experience a plus



HP OpenView and Concord administration a plus



RedHat Linux a plus
