Job Description: Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to be responsible for providing systems engineering expertise and leadership throughout all lifecycle phases of system development in support of the National Data Exchange (N-DEx) program. The N-DEx program provides a secure system for national criminal justice information sharing that can be used by law enforcement agencies to solve and prevent crime and terrorism and to enhance public safety. It is a pivotal program for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and has been touted as the Justice Department National Strategy for Information Sharing. The N-DEx program performs all necessary life-cycle activities that will result in a system to share complete, accurate, timely, and useful information across jurisdictional boundaries and provide new investigative tools that enhance the Nation's ability to fight crime and terrorism. N-DEx is an unclassified web service - centered on J2EE, web applications, COTS integration, Oracle and Autonomy. Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for XML data model analysis and development, requirements analysis/definition, test criteria development, external interface definition, systems integration and performance modeling. W ork closely with other team members and government customers throughout the iterative development life cycle. Deliverables by the Systems Engineering team will include XML data models, systems requirements specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), ICDs, and Architecture Model Report. Required Skills: -Must have a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or possess equivalent experience in lieu of a degree -Must have a minimum of 6+ years systems engineering experience including a combination of one or more of the following: -Strong data modeling and XML skills including XML schema and XSLT -Requirements definition and management -Interface definition -Trade studies -Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) -COTS systems integration -Experience with search engine and entity resolution technologies Qualified candidates may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Knowledge of NIEM and LEXS data format standards.
