Position Description:

Install/upgrade/patch, configure, monitor and tune Unix systems running AIX, Solaris and Redhat.

Day to day support of system software such as Jboss, WebLogic, Apache, UC4, Sonic MQ, WebSphere MQ, TSM, nagios. Support of custom tiered web applications, data replication and performance reporting applications. Troubleshooting for problems in production environment, batch abends, performance issues. Frequent deployment of custom code in support of client commitments. Project tasks for new system implementations. After hours and weekend support during on call rotation.

Qualifications:

Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 7 years of Unix systems administration/application support and/or development. Experience supporting applications in a 24x7 critical uptime environment a necessity. Experience in IBM LPAR technology desired. Scripting experience desired. Experience supporting systems running Sybase and/or Oracle desired. Experience in financial services and/or Application Service Provider/Software as a Service provider environment preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work well in a fast paced, high pressure, group environment. Bachelor's degree preferred but equivalent work experience acceptable.
