Pearson VUE, Pearson's computer-based testing business unit, serves the Information Technology industry and the Professional Certification, Licensure, and Regulatory markets. Pearson VUE is currently seeking a Sr. Test Developer in the Content Development Department. The Sr. Test Developer is responsible for the successful development and maintenance of assigned client testing programs. Creates and manages project plans for national testing programs. The Sr. Test Developer also provides supervision and training for test edit specialists and support staff. The Sr. Test Developer works with other senior staff and Mgr, Content Development on identifying and meeting long-term department goals and objectives.

SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB
This position directs and assigns work to test edit specialists and content specialists.
There is high impact of the exam build tasks performed in this position on the business interests of the company. Any error in completely and accurately building an exam according to content specifications, validation by SMEs, and scoring parameters presents a possible litigious situation upon publication and a resulting risk to the company in terms of financial redress and harm to the company's standing in the industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. 5% Set priorities for editors
2. 20% Maintain and manage test content (items) and associated elements for accuracy, quality, validity, and Pearson VUE standards; review item banks for law rule changes as necessary.
3. 20% Plan and conduct test development meetings with clients and SMEs as per contract and needs: training SMEs, revising pools and content outlines based on SME input, developing/revising content as needed,assisting in standard setting studies as necessary.
4. 20% Assume responsibility for development & maintenance of national/general examination or program.
5. 10% Adhere to established QC processes and guidelines, ensuring accuracy of test content components, item set selection per specs and SME input, psychometric input and scoring parameters.
6. 5% Assist in training of test development staff, including bi-monthly internal team trainings, and serve as a content development resource within Pearson VUE.
7. 5% Exercise full-cycle project management of multiple programs and program deliverables.
8. 5% Assist in startup process for new clients.
9. 5% Internal Communication: Work with members of testing services teams and other company teams, providing timely & complete input on monthly and ad hoc reports, documentation, projects, teams, and meetings.
10. 5% Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Experience:
'Bachelor's degree Required
'5 years experience as a test developer with increasing responsibilities.
'Experience in a technical delivery department.
'Preferred: Masters degree or continuing education in education, measurement, training, or related field.
