Commercial Staff Accountant

 

McKinley, a national leader in real estate and property management, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Staff Accountant to join our team at our corporate office in beautiful Downtown Ann Arbor, MI. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to analyze and review accounting data for use in creating and substantiating financial records for commercial properties and providing financial analytical expertise. Reviews month end trial ledger, analyzes mortgage documents, handles monthly close-out procedures, and reconciles general disbursements account on monthly basis.

 

The ideal candidate should also be able to comprehend and interpret commercial leases, process CAM reconciliations and provide support to property management. The successful candidate will possess excellent communications skills both oral and written, display high attention to detail, the ability to rearrange priorities as required in a changing environment, and have solid understanding of commercial lease language.

 

Qualifications include:

 

2-4 years experience in accounting with lease administration experience, or

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related area required

Previous Commercial Accounting experience highly preferred

Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Proficient in Word and Excel
Detail oriented
Ability to work independently and co-ordinate multiple deadlines
Thrive in a fast-paced environment
