Staff Accountant 10-11103583

The Staff Accountant will handle day-to-day responsibilities related to completing monthly general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, and other duties as assigned.  This position is located in Downers Grove and will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

DUTIES:

Prepare various recurring monthly journal entries and post to general ledger.
Reconcile all bank accounts. 
Monitor petty cash and maintain tracking log.

Prepare deposits daily according to policy; prepare cash receipts journal entries and post to general ledger.

Perform monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and restricted revenue and update related subledgers.
Maintain the spreadsheet for fixed assets

Prepare monthly revenue and expense reporting and other reporting as required. 
Assist with preparation of work papers for financial audit. 
Complete Payment Requests for invoices received.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 2+ years experience in manufacturing.  Must be able to work under pressure.  Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is a plus.  Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees and vendors.  Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
