BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for ensuring transactions have been properly accounted for and accurately reflect the company’s accounting policies and procedures. Timely resolution of day-to-day accounting issues. Analyst is also responsible for performing month-end closing duties and reporting for both internal and external reporting.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Month-End, quarter-end, and year-end closing requirements.

· Prepare journal entries timely and accurately.

· Perform monthly balance sheet analysis.

· Active participation in SOX testing and remediation.

· Supports the development of the Annual Operating Plan as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts.

· Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.

· Participate in the Accounting Department continuous improvement efforts.

· Perform any other special financial and accounting assignments on an as-needed basis.

· Interface with other departments (teams) as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred.

· 1-3 years General Accounting experience preferred.

· Strong technical accounting background.

· Strong Excel and database skills.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Good communication/interpersonal skills required.

· Team player with the ability to work independently to meet financial deadlines.
· Oracle & Hyperion experience a plus
