SUMMARY OVERVIEW
POSITION LOCATION FLEXIBLE WITH REGARD TO ESTABLISHED JABIL SITES WORLDWIDE. PREFERENCE IS ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA; SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA; VIENNA, AUSTRIA ; OR KWIDZYN, POLAND.
Provide Industrial Engineering Support to Jabil Solar sites and customers by performing complete line layouts, optimization of solar related processes, and simulation of processes for “best fit” to Jabil Solar factories WW. Provide technical support to Jabil manufacturing and business development groups. International Travel is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide detailed factory and line layouts using Auto CAD Provide optimization of current Solar Assembly lines using work flow analysis, time and motion study etc. Provide analysis of current process using simulation tools (i.e. Arena), value stream mapping, data analysis, etc Attendance at customer meetings in support of Jabil business development, as required Assist Jabil business development in RFQ responses regarding new technologies, equipment, and strategies Collaborate with customer (attend design reviews, perform FMEAs, etc.) to ensure producibility of product and effective transition to manufacturing Development of project proposals for new technology and business opportunities Develop innovative process solutions for new Solar related businesses within Jabil WW. Perform DOE, CPK analysis, Gage R&R studies, Create and organize appropriate documentation and records Investigate and determine new equipment requirements for new technologies Lead and/or support technology transfer and integration into Jabil facilities Engineering consultation services to Jabil Solar work-cells and customers as required Promote positive working relationships with Jabil Solar sites Training and mentoring of personnel that may be assigned to the Solar Engineering group. Complete training requirements identified by department manager Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy International Travel may be required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor or’s degree from a college or university related to the Industrial Engineering discipline. Four years experience in the PV Solar industry as an Industrial Engineer Must have skills to effectively mentor Jabil site Industrial Engineers. Demonstrated ability to provide optimized, innovative manufacturing solutions Ability to write, create presentations, and to effectively represent Jabil at customer meetings. Proficient use of AutoCAD Ability to use simulation tools (i.e. Arena) Use of lean tools including value stream mapping, other data analysis

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets, technical procedures, other documentation written in English. Must be able to effectively communicate technical information using English, and respond to questions from Jabil peers, managers, and our customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Able to work with mathematical concepts, probability and statistical inference, the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, and to lift and carry PC’s and test equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time. Employee needs to physically sustain the required amount of travel, time zone changes, and associated travel demands.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in this environment ranges from low to moderate. The employee is required to travel for business purposes, including air, rail and vehicle transportation.
