Staff Pharmacist

Position Summary : CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy, a subsidiary of CVS/Caremark, is an innovative pharmacy specializing in chronic disease conditions like transplants and HIV. We operate in an intimate, apothecary environment setting. We are seeking a full time Pharmacist to accurately fill prescriptions, inventory control, marketing activities with sales staff and networking with local physicians.

Qualifications : Pharmacology knowledge, analytical skills and detail orientation that will enable the identification of drug interactions, potentially dangerous side effects, appropriate dosage requirements and dosage calculations which meet with medically recommended solutions.
Attention to customer focus, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information.
Ability to work in teams, providing leadership to enable timely completion of assigned work requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse customer group.
Must hold a current license as a Registered Pharmacist in Washington, DC. Basic computer skills are required. Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and detail orientation are a must.

Education : This position requires a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Experience : One year experience as a licensed pharmacist, specialty experience a plus.
