POSITION
Staff Physical Therapist
Job Summary: Responsible for treatment of patients and communication with staff, patients, patient families, and physicians. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing direct patient care, demonstrating fiscal awareness, assisting with maintenance of supplies and equipment as needed for operation of the department.
Assisting in developing programs for the department.
Job Specifications:
A. Education: Current license or pending by the Alabama State Board of Physical Therapy.
B. Experience: as a Physical Therapist.
C. Prerequisites: Complete hospital and department orientation. Ability to manage a sometimes stressful work environment subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Ability to work long, irregular hours. Work level is medium to heavy. Frequently assisting of patients in lifting and transfers as well as exercising, ambulation, and whirlpools, etc. Ability to sustain fixed static posture against resistance.
Independent in use of P.T. equipment.
