Position Summary
Responsible for general accounting and property accounting including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Doing monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the senior management in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department for a property management company.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
- General ledger operations
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Assist in budgets and forecasts
- Account/bank reconciliations
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Prepare annual CAM reconciliations
- Complete year end accounting procedures
- Perform general administrative and reception duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of finance principles
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Technical accounting skills
- 3+ years of experience of general accounting and property accounting preferred
- 3+ years of experience in MRI software preferred
