Business Overview

 

The Staffing Consultant is responsible for developing relationships within an assigned business unit as well the day to day recruitment, placement and retention of temporary associates. This role also encompasses implementing temporary associate programs to promote retention and relationship building.

 

Position Description

 

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Staffing Consultant is self-directed, focusing on results and achieving goals. This person has direct impact on the ability of the client to meet their deliverables by providing high quality, highly specialized, and timely temporary staffing solutions.  This individual must build strong relationships and partner with internal support groups including HR, Finance, Legal, Talent Acquistion, Marketing and Systems.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to develop a clear and concise recruitment plan, and to execute against that plan.
  • Partner with external vendors (when applicable) to fill positions
  • Conduct in-depth interviews of candidates
  • Ensure accurate updates and integrity of files and systems

 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Responsible for relationship management within defined business unit
  • Partner with internal support groups to strategize solutions to staffing/recruitment challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Partner with client managers to streamline temporary placement process and ensure profitability of placements, as reflected in the site Profit and Loss statement
  • Manage the relationship of assigned client to develop staffing and recruitment strategies for specific business needs
  • Maintain accurate files and records of all customer interaction

 

Temporary Associate Management

 

  • Manage temporary associate relationships
  • Develop and implement programs to improve temporary associate relationships (i.e. retention programs, focus groups etc)
  • Provide on-going performance feedback to temporary associates and partner with line managers in addressing/resolving temporary associates issues
  • Counsel temporary associates on training and development opportunities
  • Facilitate orientation programs that are site and client specific

 

 

Project Work

 

  • Collaboration on projects to implement corporate programs and initiatives

Working Contacts/Relationships

 

  • Reports to the Program Manager
  • Interacts weekly with Program Manager/Staffing Consultant/Talent Acquisition  to share best practices and review performance against targets
  • Interacts when appropriate with Veritude support groups (i.e. Marketing, Finance, HR)

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • BS/BA in a related field is preferred or equivalent business experience
  • 4+ years business experience, with a minimum of 3 years recruiting/staffing experience, preferably in a staffing agency setting. Proven ability to focus on results and achieve goals.
