Staffing Manager

About the Job

Position Purpose: 

Satisfies clients by filling orders in an accurate, profitable and timely manner.  Selects, recruits, directs and maintains a staff of qualified temporary employees. Supports the customer service function of the office by making sales and follow-up calls to assigned clients.

Duties/Responsibilities – Essential Functions:

q       Manages the recruitment/search process

q       Screens applications and interviews candidates to determine candidate qualifications

q       Pre-qualifies candidates through evaluation and testing

q       Enters and updates on a timely basis, accurate information in database of clients and candidates

q       Makes daily phone calls to perspective candidates

q       Performs reference checks, background checks and employment verifications to determine candidates’ previous work performance, criminal history and employment history

q       Places appropriate candidates to fulfill client requirements

q       Develops strong client and candidate relationships and maintains communication with both

q       Tours facilities as necessary to properly match temporary employees, review safety issues and address employee relations issues

q       Performs required marketing calls to market existing temporaries and clients and prospects and qualifies accounts

q       Prepares and posts various types of advertisements for open requisitions

q       Searches career websites to locate prospective candidates

q       Assists with the unemployment and worker’s compensation claim processing

q       Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

 

      Education and Experience:

     

q       High School Diploma or equivalent required

q       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred

q       1+ years of professional experience in a high pressure, customer service oriented environment

q       Staffing industry experience is a plus

 

       Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      

q       Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills necessary

q       Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

q       Must maintain highly sensitive and confidential information

q       Must demonstrate ability to work independently, multi-task and possess strong organizational skills

q       Demonstrates flexibility, openness, respect and sensitivity in dealing with others

q       Maturity, judgment and consultative ability to interact effectively with candidates and clients at all different levels

q       Strong customer service skills and selling skills required
