JOB TITLE: State Program Director, Account Management
DEPARTMENT: Operations
SUPERVISOR/REPORT TO: Chief Client Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
Overall contractual and operational management of Beacon contracts within a specific State/region. In conjunction with State Program Director responsibilities, this position may also serve as the Program Director, assuming all Program Director job description responsibilities for a particular account in specific State/region.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee’s all client operations within a defined State/region.
2. In conjunction with the Chief Client Officer, define and execute on strategic goals for State/region, ensuring contractual, regulatory and delegation agreement compliance.
3. Support new business development opportunities in NY.
4. Actively cultivate key stakeholder relationships within NY to advance Beacon’s standing on behalf of its current client base and to support business expansion efforts in NY.
5. Partner with NY advocacy groups to promote Beacon’s work in NY.
6. In conjunction with NY Program Directors, responsible for ensuring all contractual reporting requirements as outlined in relevant contracts and delegation agreements within NY.
7. Supporting comprehensive reporting and analysis of program utilization, cost, quality and related performance indicators.
8. Attendance at relevant client and external meetings as necessary to deliver exceptional customer service and to execute on defined strategic goals.
9. Direct supervision of NY Program Director staff.
10. Actively engage all Woburn based staff necessary to achieve contractual and strategic goals for specified contract, State/region.
11. Work closely with Director of Clinical Management and Director of Quality Management and Improvement on all NCQA/URAC initiatives, including leading specific initiatives as required.
12. Serve as State/regional compliance liaison to Woburn operations.
13. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Master’s degree required. 4-5 years managed care experience preferred. Experience with financial and clinical data analysis and reporting required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple issues, excellent organizational skills, ability to track multiple projects/tasks and follow through as needed
• Ability to manage and coordinate with internal and external departments
• Able to work collaboratively with internal staff and external agencies
• Must be detail oriented; able to work independently in an ever changing environment
• Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
