Are you a Static Equipment Engineer with 10 or more years of experience developing detailed specifications for process static equipment, including valves and piping, for onshore and offshore oil & gas development projects? Are you interested in leveraging your experience to advance your career?

opportunity in Houston, Texas! Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Static Equipment Engineer for a key position on its upstream oil & gas development engineering staff.

As the Facilities Static Equipment Engineer, you will guide 
all aspects of static equipment engineering for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas development projects. This includes the initial concept selection, equipment selection and specification, vendor selection and coordination, quality control, testing, installation, commissioning, and startup, ensuring that project requirements are in compliance and that equipment is delivered and fully operational.

You will also steward the 
interfaces among the Project Team and the EPC contractor's organization related to static equipment engineering and design, to ensure quality and minimize changes during project execution. You will monitor the successful completion of Site Acceptance Testing, functional checks, and activities leading to ontime Mechanical Completion of project static equipment, and review installation activities to ensure compliance with job specifications, functional performance, safety goals, and terms of contract.

We are very interested in individuals with the following Background Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • At least 10 years of applicable experience in the selection, design, testing, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and operation of static equipment associated with the Oil & Gas industry, including valves and piping 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry specifications and standards
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in a clear and concise manner to achieve resolution of issues expeditiously
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team member under project schedule pressures
  • Adaptability to multinational environments, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
