Stem Cell Biology/Microbiology Scientist to join our team!
To qualify for this technically challenging position the candidate must possess Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably of which at least 2 are postdoctoral experience and 3, or more are in the biotechnology/life science industry.
Typical relevant degree disciplines include Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biopharmacy.
Experience with various animal models is desired, strong developmental biology training is a plus.
Scientists with skills including specialization in cell and molecular biology with focus on cell and molecular biology capabilities ranging from providing expertise in enzyme and cell-based assays to the application of protein and nucleic acid technologies.
The candidate must have interest in participation in activities such as the design and optimization of in vitro screening and functional assays, biomarker discovery, gene expression, protein engineering, and bioinformatics.
Successful candidate must have developed strong biochemical, biomedical and/or biopharmaceutical scientific capabilities and have a knack for innovative solutions to technically challenging problems through work experience in a research and product and/or a process development environment.
An inquisitive, problem-solving disposition is required. Responsibilities will encompass development of biotechnology equipment, new process and new products in an advanced R&D environment. Applications for the technologies include production of monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and tissue engineering.
Relevant laboratory experience applying stem cell technologies. Specific skills associated with this position experience in high content cytometry, receptor binding assays, immunocytochemistry, and confocal microscopy.
In this role, the candidate will take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion. The candidate will generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes. The candidate will initiate technical investigations, prepare protocols, develop, and apply advanced theories, methods and research techniques in solution of complex and advanced biotechnical problems.
Requirements
• Ph.D. with relevant degree in disciplines include Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biopharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in industry
• General industrial process knowledge

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with chemists, biologists, mechanical engineers and chemical engineers to optimize biologically active molecules
