About the Job

ROLE SUMMARY

The Stockroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining accurate level of inventory, relocating, tracking of inventory via the inventory software system and inventory adjustments.  Inventory reduction and spare parts cost (periodically review spare parts cost for cost savings).Completes appropriate documentation associated with work responsibilities including inputting and obtaining information using a computerized inventory system. Incumbent will safely operate the forklift and other powered material handling equipment. This position requires incumbent to adhere to all SOPs, CGMPs, plant safety, quality, and documentation systems requirements. Incumbent is responsible for other related duties essential to these operations or special assignments as required.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, verify, stock, and count stockroom materials.
  • Sort and distribute inventory, including delivery in and outside the plant.
  • Generate the following:  spreadsheets, charts, and analyze the data.
  • Completes appropriate documentation associated with work responsibilities including inputting and obtaining information using a computerized inventory system.
  • Safely operate the forklift and other powered material handling equipment.
  • Adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, plant safety, quality, and documentation systems requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to verbal and written instructions/facility documents.
  • Prefer at least (2 years’ experience) in maintenance or inventory control in an engineering environment.
  • Capable of accurately complete documentation relative to the movement of inventory.
  • Ability to work independently or in groups effectively.
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer and a calculator, and use software associated with maintenance systems.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Understand and apply basic math concepts.
  • Ability to operate various types of motorized forklifts.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Respond to visual and audible warning indicators.
  • Respond to color or special indicators,
  • Work around moving equipment.
  • Wear specialized protective clothing (shoes, glasses).
  • Use powered material handling equipment.
  • Work with chemicals.
  • Stand up to 6-12 hours.
  • Sit up to 1-2 hours.
  • Twist at waist 40 times/hour.
  • Regularly life up to 35 lbs per activity 20 times/shift.
  • Occasionally lift over 50 pounds with assistance 15 times/shift.
  • Must be able to perform daily physical demands:  lifting/pushing/stretching/walking/repetitive use of upper extremities.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 12 Hour Night Shift 7p-7a, 2/2/3 schedule
