Storage Administrator

We have an opening with one of our clients in VA.

Statement:

·         Translates Project Storage Needs into specific storage configurations to be built/deployed on FM SAN and NAS hardware. 

·         Execute and Fulfill storage allocation requests on behalf of the project. 

·         Engage in trouble shooting and performance tuning of project tests as they pertain to the storage infrastructure. 

Skills:

·         Experience with EMC Symmetrix Platforms (DMX) and Clariion.

·         Experience with NetAPP FAS storage units. 

·         Experience with SYMCLI.  Experience with Brocade Storage Area Networks and associated management through EFCM. 

·         Knowledge of various Raid levels and their performance characteristics, pros and cons. 

·         Familiar with Tivoli Storage Manager Components and operation, V5.4 or better.  Working knowledge of Solaris, AIX, Linux (Red Hat and SUSE) Windows and VMware. 

·         Familiarity with Oracle, Sybase and UDB database preferred.

Comments:                 General knowledge of Networks and IT infrastructure.
